Senior Collector

Position Description:

Kapitus is currently seeking an experienced Senior Collector for our Rockwall, TX office. Inbound and Outbound call center; performs transaction processing through phone, email and/or fax.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Performs maintenance, research and resolution on past due accounts.
  • Must have the ability to work independently and in a team environment, multitask, set own priorities and adapt to a changing environment.
  • Updates account information and input detailed notes in the system of record.
  • Ability to quickly identify and offer multiple solutions to resolve a delinquency and be able to provide a status and/or final resolution to each past due account.
  • Ensures adherence to compliance with policies & procedures as well as regulatory and State requirements.
  • Communicates effectively with immediate Supervisor on issues to drive a final resolution on accounts.
  • Prepares and presents settlement offers to the committee for approval

Minimum Requirements:
  • 5+ years of Collections experience in a high-volume call center environment.
  • Be a team player and open to constructive feedback.
  • Ability to make 100+ outbound quality calls per day while maintaining a quality assurance score of 85% or higher.
  • Regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.
  • Advanced knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • High School Diploma/GED

Preferred Requirements:
  • 8+ years of industry experience related to Customer contact in a Banking, Mortgage, Loan Servicing or Financial Services institutions.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical and problem-solving skills with a proven track record of outstanding collection performance.
  • Solid Communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of Management in a positive manner.
  • Actively seek continuous self, department, and company improvement.

This is a full-time hourly position with the opportunity for a monthly bonus; compensation commensurate with experience.
